Cut-Off Tooling

Miller Broach now manufactures the original hollow-ground Cutoff Blades, Cutoff Holders, Twin Tip Tools, and Twin Tip Holders that were made by Empire Tool Company. Available in M2 High Speed, M6 Emprite, CPM T15, C2 carbide tipped, C6 carbide tipped, and Micro Grain carbide tipped.
“T” Type Cutoff blades have the original hollow ground sides and tops for superior performance. Available in M2, M6, T15, C2 carbide tipped, C6 carbide tipped, and Micrograin carbide tipped grades. Standard widths are .040, .062, .078, .093, .125, .156, .187, .250, and .312.
Johnson Style Cutoff (5 degree bevel) blades are available in M6 and Micrograin carbide tipped grades. Standard widths are .062, .078, .093, .125, and .187.
Acme Style Cutoff (7 degree bevel) blades are available in M6 and T15 grades. Standard widths are .062, .093, .125, and .187.
Twin Tip Tools This “throw away” cutoff tooling is the strongest, most rigid, multipurpose tool available. The hardened high speed steel shank with brazed on carbide inserts lends itself to increased speed and feeds found on CNC lathes. The various geometries available provide superior performance on screw machines as well.
E2000 – Micrograin carbide with side and back clearance, sharp cutting edge, and TiN coating.
E3000 – Micrograin carbide with side clearance, parallel sides, sharp cutting edge and TiN coating.
E2025 – Micrograin carbide with side and back clearance, honed cutting edge and TiN coating.
E3025 – Micrograin carbide with side clearance, parallel sides, honed cutting edge and TiN coating.
E2050 – Micrograin carbide with side and back clearance, honed cutting edge and TiAlN coating.
E3050 – Micrograin carbide with side clearance, parallel sides, honed cutting edge and TiAlN coating.
C2 carbide with side and back clearance, sharp cutting edge and front K-land. Available uncoated or with TiN, TiAlN, or TiCn coating.
